It’s the social event of the season. Glamorous women pour into Manhattan’s stately National Arts Club, dressed to the nines, expecting to glide right into its gilded halls for the VIP-only art gala. Until… A raspy and recognizable New York-accented voice punctures the anticipatory mood: “Whoa, whoa, whoa, ladies, let’s get those purses on the conveyor belt!”

Enter Natasha Lyonne in her latest role: An overeager, thigh-high boot-wearing security guard who takes more than a little pleasure in her job. As the flock of guests—each chicer than the next—are forced to surrender their prized designer handbags to the indignity of the scanner, the guard’s professional demeanor lapses into something more...personal.
